Join one of Mumbai's many astronomy clubs this season to get the best view of what lies above.
Few important Groups/clubs listed below :-
1) Amateur Astronomers Association:-
The oldest amateur astronomy club in Mumbai, the association
was started at the Physics department of St Xavier's College
in 1977. It aims to popularise astronomy among college and
school students. It organises solar eclipse expeditions and
comet observation programmes.

2) Khagol Mandal :-
Khagol Mandal has been around for 25 years.
Once every month from October to May, members go to
Vangani, near Badlapur, to spot the stars. Anyone with
an interest in star-gazing can join the trip for a fee of R50. About 150-200 people on average meet in
Vangani, camping on a field all night.
The mandal's volunteers guide you through the various constellations, stars and other deep-sky objects.

3) Akashganga Centre for Astronomy:-
Bharat Adur runs the Akashganga Centre of Astronomy in Badlapur.
The centre runs academic, research-heavy programmes,
but it will be organising a more general meeting to observe
the Leonid meteor shower between Nov 13 and 18. For R200,
the club will give you course material on sky charts and maps
and offer you tea and snacks at night.
Experts will help participants identify and capture the meteor shower on their cameras.

4) Vishwavedh:-
Started in 1988, the club conducts courses in astronomy for school children in Vile Parle. Vishwavedh is especiallyactive at the time of astral events such as an eclipse or
astronomical transit. It organises free all-night field trips to a farmhouse in Vajreshwari.
