You first need a high-quality cassette player or deck with a line-out.
Then you need 3.5mm jack-3.5mm Jack (EP-EP) wire. Plug it to Tape at aux output, and another end to computer.
If it just has a mic in, the quality will be lower.
You then use any recording & editing software such as Audacity ( http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ ) , or check in www.hitsqauad.com for recording software.
This is one option but it takes very long, indeed, and the quality wont be great!
A better option is to buy a dedicated hardware product that does this. Such as the Philips Rip-All, which gives one-touch conversion of cassettes, CD & FM into Mp3, and costs under Rs 5k.
